Glasgow, Scotland – The Celtic Connections festival concluded its 2026 run, marking a historic achievement with record-breaking attendance. A staggering 114,000 tickets were sold over 18 days. This success cements its position as the world’s premier winter festival for traditional, roots, and world music. The event is a global music news highlight for the year.

It also supported 207 jobs. Glasgow alone saw £4.9 million in generated income. This economic impact underscores the event’s significance. The festival is supported by Glasgow Life and partners like Innis & Gunn. It also receives funding from the Scottish Government’s Festivals EXPO Fund and Creative Scotland.
