High Peaks Harvest Festival Returns to Saranac Lake, Set to Celebrate Fall with Art, Music, and Local Flavors on October 18

Saranac Lake is preparing to welcome the vibrant colors and crisp air of autumn with the return of the High Peaks Harvest Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, this much-anticipated event marks its second annual celebration, promising a day filled with local art, captivating music, and the distinctive flavors of the Adirondack region.

A Day of Autumnal Delights

The festivities are set to unfold at two key locations: the historic Hotel Saranac and the lively Berkley Green. The day officially begins at 10:00 AM with the Saranac Lake Farmers’ Market, held outdoors at the Hotel Saranac. This market serves as a crucial kickoff for the market’s transition from its summer location to its indoor winter home within the Hotel Saranac, a move designed to ensure continued access to local produce and goods throughout the colder months.

Starting at noon, Berkley Green will transform into a hub of activity from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Attendees can explore a diverse array of artisan vendors showcasing unique handmade crafts, offering a chance to discover local talent and find one-of-a-kind treasures. The air will be filled with enticing aromas from a variety of food trucks, including popular local spots like Mountain Munchies, Waffle Cabin, and Mountain Chef, ready to serve up delicious seasonal fare. Complementing the culinary offerings, regional breweries and distilleries such as Hex and Hop Brewing, Adirondack Mobile Bar, and Gristmill Distillery will be on hand, providing attendees with an opportunity to sample local craft beverages.

Musical Rhythms and Family Fun

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music will resonate through Berkley Green from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This year’s musical entertainment will feature The Midnight Stargazers, a local band known for their engaging blend of country music genres, including classic country, country folk, cosmic country, and country rock. Their performances often draw inspiration from a wide range of artists, promising a dynamic setlist.

Families will find plenty to keep younger attendees entertained with a dedicated children’s activity area. Activities planned include creative balloon sculptures, pumpkin decorating, and the popular bounce house. A special attraction for kids will be a display by the local fire department, allowing children to explore a fire truck and learn about its equipment.

A Community-Driven Event

The High Peaks Harvest Festival is more than just a seasonal event; it represents a significant community effort. Organized by Katrina Glynn, Saranac Lake’s Community Development Director, the festival aims to bring together various elements of the local economy and culture—food, beverages, art, and music—in a cohesive celebration. Glynn, who has been instrumental in developing community initiatives and securing funding, views the festival as a way to highlight the best of Saranac Lake and foster community spirit. The collaborative effort involves partnerships with the Village of Saranac Lake, Hotel Saranac, ANCA, and the High Peaks Farmers’ Market, underscoring a shared vision for promoting local engagement and economic vitality.

The event is celebrated for capturing the essence of fall in the Adirondacks, offering a delightful experience for residents and visitors alike. Whether seeking fresh local produce, unique crafts, delicious food, or lively music, the High Peaks Harvest Festival promises a memorable fall day in Saranac Lake. The festival will proceed rain or shine, with provisions made to move activities indoors to Hotel Saranac if necessary. This news event highlights the ongoing efforts to support local businesses and community engagement in the Saranac Lake area.
