JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The vibrant energy of female empowerment is once again taking over Jacksonville Beach as the fifth annual Super Girl Festival returns this weekend, November 7-9, 2025. This expansive women’s sports festival promises a dynamic showcase of athletic talent, featuring over 2,000 women competing in 12 diverse sports, alongside a full schedule of free music performances, community classes, and family-friendly activities, all part of the exciting Super Girl Festival.
Presented by Jersey Mike’s, the Super Girl Festival transforms the Jacksonville Beach Pier and SeaWalk Pavilion into a hub of competition and celebration. At its core is a World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) all-women’s surfing contest, drawing top professional surfers who will battle for victory and the coveted “Super Girl Cape.” This esteemed competition is a crucial platform for athletes aiming to qualify for the Women’s Championship Tour, highlighting the elite level of talent on display at this premier women’s athletic competition. This truly is a highlight of Jacksonville Beach events and a testament to the growing importance of the Super Girl Festival.
A Celebration of Women in Sports at the Super Girl Festival
Beyond the waves, the Super Girl Festival champions a broad spectrum of women’s athletic pursuits. This year, more than 2,000 female athletes will participate across 12 sports, making it a significant multi-sport event. These include not only surfing but also a women’s inline and quads skating competition, a women’s skateboarding event, and a 5K beach and boardwalk run. A significant new addition for 2025 is a 3-on-3 women’s basketball tournament and youth clinics, a collaboration with the newly formed Upshot League, which includes the Jacksonville Waves, further expanding the Super Girl Festival‘s reach. The festival also features a cheer and dance showcase, drawing over 40 teams from across the state, and a women’s lacrosse tournament, making the Super Girl Festival a true multi-sport spectacle.
Music, Culture, and Female Empowerment at the Super Girl Festival
Complementing the athletic feats is an electrifying women’s music festival component, presented by Natural Life, featuring 14 bands on the SeaWalk Pavilion stage. Headliners scheduled to perform include the acclaimed country band The Band Perry, pop-rock favorites Plain White T’s, reggae artist HIRIE, and rising star Julia Cole, among others. This music festival component adds a festive atmosphere, offering entertainment for all attendees throughout the weekend of the Super Girl Festival.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a variety of free community wellness classes presented by Florida Blue, ranging from line dancing and Hip Hop HIIT to self-defense, Zumba, and Hot Yoga, providing avenues for wellness and skill development that align with the Super Girl Festival‘s message of female empowerment. A dedicated mentorship event, part of the WSL’s Rising Tides program, will connect young aspiring surfers with seasoned professionals, fostering inspiration and growth within the sport, a key aspect of the Super Girl Festival and crucial for athlete development.
