Geese Announce Third Album ‘Getting Killed,’ Release Lead Single “Taxes” and North American Tour Dates

Brooklyn-based rock outfit Geese has officially announced their highly anticipated third studio album, titled “Getting Killed,” set for release on September 26 via Partisan Records.

The announcement arrives alongside the debut of the album’s lead single, a track titled “Taxes,” offering listeners the first preview of the band’s evolving sound. This new material follows Geese’s critically acclaimed 2021 debut LP, “Projector,” and their 2023 effort, “3D Country,” continuing their prolific output since emerging onto the indie rock scene.

“Getting Killed”: A Deep Dive into the New Album

Recorded in Los Angeles, “Getting Killed” sees Geese collaborating with renowned producer Kenneth Blume, better known as Kenny Beats. This partnership marks a significant step for the band, potentially bringing a fresh perspective to their established dynamic.

The album is provocatively described as a “chaotic comedy of epic proportions.” It is said to navigate complex emotional landscapes, balancing moments of tenderness with bursts of palpable anger. Furthermore, early descriptions suggest that “Getting Killed” actively seeks to challenge conventional music structures, hinting at a departure from traditional song forms and arrangements.

Frontman Cameron Winter, who handles vocals and keyboards, appears to be a driving force behind the album’s direction. Reports indicate that he has incorporated elements and influences drawn from his recent solo debut album, titled “Heavy Metal,” into the creative process for “Getting Killed.” This cross-pollination of ideas from Winter’s solo work into the band context suggests a maturation and broadening of Geese’s musical palette.

The full lineup of Geese features Cameron Winter alongside Emily Green on guitar, Dominic DiGesu on bass, Max Bassin on drums, and Sam Revaz contributing additional keyboards. Their collaborative energy has been central to their rapid rise in the music world.

The Lead Single: “Taxes”

The release of “Taxes” serves as the primary introduction to the sonic world of “Getting Killed.” As the lead single, it is expected to encapsulate the core themes and musical direction of the forthcoming album, providing fans and critics alike with a tangible taste of what is to come on September 26.

Kicking Off with a Free Performance

To mark the release of the new single and build anticipation for the album, Geese scheduled a special free pop-up performance. This event took place today, July 9th, at the Herbert Von King park bandshell located in Bed Stuy, offering local fans an immediate opportunity to experience the new music live in an intimate setting.

Announcing The Getting Killed Tour

Alongside the album and single news, Geese has also unveiled plans for their most extensive headline tour to date. Dubbed “The Getting Killed Tour,” this North American run is slated for October and November 2025, promising a significant series of live dates for the band.

The tour is set to commence on October 10th in South Burlington, Vermont. The itinerary includes stops across the United States and Canada, with notable dates including October 11th in Toronto, ON, October 13th in Detroit, MI, and back-to-back performances on October 15th and a newly added date on October 16th in Chicago, IL. Further dates in the Midwest include October 17th in Madison, WI, and October 18th in St. Paul, MN, among others across the continent.

Demand for tickets has been high, with many dates on the extensive tour already reported as sold out, underscoring the band’s growing popularity and fervent fanbase across North America.

“The Getting Killed Tour” is scheduled to conclude with two consecutive shows at the Brooklyn Paramount venue on November 20th and November 21st, bringing the lengthy trek to a close in the band’s hometown.

Supporting acts have been announced for select dates on the tour, featuring performances from Racing Mount Pleasant and Dove Ellis, adding further depth to the concert lineup for attendees.

With a new album on the horizon, a fresh single released, and a major North American tour planned, Geese is positioning themselves for a significant period ahead, building on the momentum of their previous releases and solidifying their place in the contemporary rock landscape.
